Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, best known for their Ginger Beer was rated the best Australian soft drink in 2020. Not only are their products popular in Australia, but also in Europe and America with sales rising internationally year after year.

As a result, the company has applied for a processing and bottling facility in preparation for major long term growth. The company has previously received initial building approval for its proposed new brewery and confirmed it will remain in the Bundaberg Region.

Bundaberg Brewed Drinks is a passionate, family owned, Australian business that has created craft brewed premium soft drinks since the 1960s and exports to over 30 countries.

CEO John McLean said the development of the future brewery was a long-term project and a major financial investment for the family.

The development application, features a building that would include a 6568m2 warehouse and logistics area. Storerooms, a brewing area and a research lab would cover a further 8512m2. It would also include an increased office and administration area over 3500m2.

The Australian business has expanded their packaging systems to be canned as well as the original bottles. The choice to alternatively can their products was launched due to customer demand.

“Having a canning line has been an important step for the company, allowing us to offer a much more versatile pack format that consumers have been asking us for.”

This was a vital step to ensuring the company met current market needs.

Additionally, US TV personality Adam Savage, best known for co-hosting MythBusters, endorsed Bundaberg’s Ginger Beer after being sent a personalised bottle from the Australian company. He shared a video of the custom stubby on his Youtube channel which has 3+ million subscribers.
